Denyk, the support that played with Misfits during the 2020 Spring Split, will be starting off the bench this upcoming weekend the organization announced.

Denyk will be replacing Doss after a string of bad perfomances with the European League of Legends team. Misfits is currently tied with Vitality at a 5-8 record, good for eighth place in the league. The team has lost four games in a row.

The Czech support started with Misfits in Spring, helping the team to a fifth place finish. That roster had Bvoy as it’s starting AD carry, where the team now has veteran Kobbe in that role. Misfits would eventually lose to Rogue in a best of five series in the Spring Playoffs.

Misfits made the surprising announcement to bench Denyk in favor of Doss, who had been playing on Misfits Premier earlier. Doss has an average death count of 3.2, only ahead of Fnatic support Hylissang at 4.5.

The team is on the outside looking in heading into week seven with five games to play. In order to make playoffs, Misfits will have to get a sixth place or higher finish and beat out teams like G2, Origen, Vitality, and Excel.

Denyk and Misfits will be in action against SK Gaming tomorrow at 1pm ET and against Excel on Saturday, Aug. 1 at 12pm ET.
